Hello all,
We have lots of channels in our country. Every channel has award programme. Many celebrities come in that programme along with people who are paid to come there.
Again those celebrities perform some dances and stuff like that. Many people believe that such performances are not intellectual. Do you think that such award programmes would make decline in the average intelligent Quotient of our countrymen?? Or do you think that their performances are appreciable by everyone in the society??

No not at all. It is good to appreciate the celebrities for their performances but the there are almost 10 to 12 awards that happen which is pathetic. they should cut down to 2 or 3. Its just waste of time. companies sponsor these events as one of their marketing strategy on the basis of GRP AND TRP but we in turn receive nothing. If u consider avg. intelligent quotient there is nothing intellectual in these programmes. Its just waste of money and time thats it.
ReplyDeleteAward programs are meant to do the publicity for the channel itself and its various programs(TV serials, talk shows etc). Why would it increase or decrease the IQ of the public who waste time watching it? It provides entertainment for the section of the viewers who like watching such shows. Most of the people publicly criticise such shows but then secretly end up watching them! Our society is hypocritical, big time.
ReplyDeletePeople come to such award function just for the sake of enjoyment, they have least interest in watching other deserving people win awards. My views on this is these organisers should give chance to those talented student who performs on annual day functions in their colleges. One who gives guest appearance in such dance shuold be specialy invited.
ReplyDeletePeople are diligent enough to know that the award programs are made to publicize the daily soaps of the channels which yield huge amount of revenue resulting out of space for commercials.

there performance is highly appreciable as d way thy perform is excellent and d bzt part is abt the type of cloth's thy were.Young people like u get happy after seeing actress in such kindoff dress and you can get a lot of relief if u want after seeing them in such pic...M sure that u must be surely getting a lot of relief frm horniness.

Otherwise do you think that Government should promote viewership of Award programmes in the areas where rape cases are more?

ReplyDeletewell i do believe that we should appreciate those who have talents such as singing or even dancing ,and yes i do think it might become "decline in the average intelligent Quotient of our countrymen" if its over viewed ..it might even be dangerous on our brain cells..some of those programs do mind controlling if not all of them ...we need to know whats good and whats not for our own sake ..and that bretty easy since we live in an era of time in which information actually transfered by the very air we breath ..
most of them also are trying to drag one away from his culture by indoctrinating ...

I think you're talking about what we 'Murrikns (as our dearly departed ex-Prez GWB called us) call 'game shows'. There is no doubt that they rot the brain and control what few functioning brain cells are left. These shows pander to the lowest common intellectual denominator in society, and by watching, their mental functions are further diminished. (I'm speaking of our own shows/programmes, since I saw very little TV during my time in India. I can't imagine yours would be so very different, going from the description here.)
ReplyDeleteThe goals of these shows is to sell, sell, sell the products that are offered as prizes, and the clothes that the hosts and celebrities wear. If the viewing public was encouraged to think and improve their intellectual functioning, they just might come to the realization that none of the crapola being advertised - and the whole show is one big advertisement - is necessary or beneficial to their lives. This would utterly defeat the whole purpose of the programme.
